I feel I had to say something positive! Give Westlake and other lenders a break! They allowed you to purchase a car so you could go to work and earn a living, so don't complain, just pay them as you agreed to in your contract and everyone will be happy!

Most car dealers assign the finance contract to a lending institution after the customer purchases a vehicle and finances the vehicle with the lender. Did you buy a $500 car? I didn't understand how Westlake only financed $500, that really didn't sound right. Marty |
2. Written by Leah on October 8, 2011 from issaquah, washington, US I didn't get a loan from Westlake. My car company sold my contract to them because they would have gone under. So, what does Westlake do, they add interest on my contract that already had interest on it. I should have a balance $500 dollars or so less than what it is. I keep getting the run around. Frankly, Westlake is a very crummy company to work with. As soon as my contact is paid off, I will never go through them again. This has been one of the worst financial experiences of my life!!!!!!! |
| 3. Written by martyvem on April 24, 2011 from baltimore, maryland, US Jason62, I have been a car salesman for almost 35 years and have an excellent reputation, that's why customers keep coming back to me. It's not the car salesman that are the problem, it's the customers that keep trying to get something for nothing. Since you have something to say, you must be one of them. If you need assistance in getting a car, try being up front about your situation and the salesman should be able to help. Getting your credit re-established after you have a problem isn't difficult, just buy what you can afford and you;ll be fine. It's the people that after they have problems try to buy a real expensive car, and find they can;t afford it. Just be honest and you will find someone that can help you. Marty S |

| 5. Written by martyvem on January 20, 2011 from norfolk, virginia, US Andy, It's hard to believe in this day and age that you didn't know that you are just as responsible for the loan as the person you signed for and the only reason W/L would call you is to collect. Don't complain about them, you should have been smart enough not to sign for a dead beat! The only reason he needed a co-signer with W/L is because his credit was already bad, of course, if your credit was better, why would you sign a W/L contract which probable has a 24%-29% rate. It's obvious that you need to be better educated so you can understand what you sign and you would have realized that you were as responsible for the loan as the credit criminal you signed for. You should think twice about complaining about W/L because when this car gets repo'd, they might be the only lender for you when you want to get a car for yourself! Maybe you will think before you agree to cosign for somebody else! | 7. Written by Andy on November 3, 2010 from stevensville, maryland, US Westlake is very unprofessional. I never had a repo and i pay all my bills on time. Westlake seems to only hire the uneducated many times i have called to make a payment on time i always got the same guy...seriously a mexican named leroy. Not only was leroy hard at hearing he had a slow stutter. If that wasnt annoying enough he and some lady he claimed from the repo office got real gangster on the phone with me because he thought i was the onle late on the payments when im just a co signer. so imagine hearing a retarded southern bell and a mexican named leroy with a slow *** stutter talking trash it was funny but annoying. I tried explanin to them im the co signer and i will contact the buyer to let them know. They just went all joh gotti on me saying things like "yeah we gonna get you" your back *** gonna be on the bus..."your full of *** and a liar" "you should be under the ground you walk on" I never been so disrespected by a retard and a person with a bad speech impediment before in my life.....if you guys teach your employees to talk trash and give verbal threats at least make sure the employees you hire dont have a severly slow stutter and make sure the women dont sound like they have a mouth full of spit begging to be swallowed |

I have been doing Auto Finance for over 30 years and use to people like you, always complaining. Just pay your phone bill, maybe your phone company will drive you to work! Don't blame the car salesman or Westlake, they helped you get a second chance, you should have purchased something you could afford! Just ask yourself who is going to finance your next car? At least then, you can complain about your shoes with holes! |
